Liverpool face a huge challenge on Tuesday night as they travel to Turkey to take on Galatasaray S.K. in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie.
But if his recent performance is anything to go by, Rio Ngumoha has already shown he is ready for the intensity that awaits.

During Liverpool’s recent match against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Ngumoha faced the kind of physical challenge young attacking players often struggle with when first breaking into senior football.

He continued to demand the ball, repeatedly taking on defenders and looking to create opportunities for Liverpool. That kind of fearlessness is exactly the mentality needed to succeed at the highest level.

Travelling to face Galatasaray in Turkey is never easy. The atmosphere inside their stadium is famous across Europe, particularly in big European nights.
But Ngumoha’s performance against Wolves suggests he will not be intimidated by the occasion. If anything, the energy and intensity of a Champions League knockout tie could suit his direct, attacking style.
