Liverpool Planning For Life After Robertson With Robinson Link

29 Mar

Reports suggest that Liverpool F.C. could make a move for Antonee Robinson if Andrew Robertson leaves the club this summer.

Robinson has been one of the most consistent left-backs in the Premier League over the last couple of seasons with Fulham F.C., and he is now being viewed as a realistic replacement should Liverpool need to fill the left-back position.

The USA international is Premier League proven, very quick, strong defensively and excellent going forward, which fits the profile Liverpool have often looked for in their full-backs. He may not be a big-name signing, but he would be an experienced and reliable option who already understands the league and wouldn’t need time to adapt.

The big question, however, is whether he would be seen as a long-term replacement for Robertson or more of a short-to-medium term solution while Liverpool potentially look for a younger option in the future.

Robertson has been one of Liverpool’s most important players of the last era and replacing him will not be easy. His leadership, energy and consistency have been key to Liverpool’s success over the years, so whoever replaces him will have big boots to fill.

If Robertson does decide to leave this summer, Antonee Robinson is a move that would make a lot of sense — not the most glamorous signing, but possibly a very smart one.
