According to reports from Spanish outlet Diario AS, Alexis Mac Allister’s dream is to one day play for Real Madrid.
However, despite that reported ambition, a move currently looks distant rather than imminent, mainly due to his contract situation and financial limits at the Spanish club.
Contract Until 2028
Mac Allister is under contract at Liverpool F.C. until 2028, which puts Liverpool in a very strong position. The club are under no pressure to sell, and any potential transfer would likely require a very large fee.
Liverpool signed Mac Allister as a key part of their midfield rebuild, and he has quickly become one of the most important players in the team due to his intelligence, passing, and ability to control games.
Because of that, Liverpool would not want to lose him any time soon.
Real Madrid Spending Limits
Another important factor is that Real Madrid reportedly have a market spending limit, meaning they cannot simply sign every player they want without careful planning and big sales.
This makes a move for Mac Allister even more difficult in the short term, especially when Real Madrid are already investing heavily in younger players and long-term projects.
One For The Future?
This feels like one of those stories that may not mean anything immediately but could become more important in a few years.
If Mac Allister continues to develop and becomes one of the best midfielders in Europe, and if Real Madrid eventually look for a new midfielder, this is a story that could return in the future.
But for now, with a long contract at Liverpool and financial limits at Real Madrid, a move looks unlikely in the near future.
