Steven Gerrard Sends Message About Liverpool Return

2 Apr

Steven Gerrard has admitted he would return to Liverpool F.C. in a coaching role if the opportunity came, even suggesting he would consider working as an assistant manager.

Speaking in a conversation with Gary Neville, Gerrard was asked whether he would ever consider being an assistant rather than a manager. His response made it clear that Liverpool would be the one club he would consider doing that for.

“I would do for Liverpool Football Club,” Gerrard said, showing once again his strong connection to the club.

Managing Liverpool Still The Dream

Gerrard was also asked about the possibility of managing Liverpool in the future, something many supporters have spoken about for years.

He admitted that managing Liverpool would be a dream, but he was honest about whether he feels ready right now.

“Of course, that would be a dream. But would I be ready for it right now to take it for a period of time, probably not.”

It was a very honest answer from Gerrard, who clearly still hopes to manage Liverpool one day but understands the size of the job and the timing that would be required.

Liverpool Future Still Possible

Gerrard has always been strongly linked with a return to Liverpool in some capacity, whether that is as a manager, assistant, or another role within the club.

Many Liverpool fans still believe that one day Gerrard will return to the club in a major role, but for now it seems he is being realistic about his current position and experience.

His comments will only increase the belief among supporters that a return to Liverpool at some point in the future is still very possible.
