Salah Pays Tribute To Ngumoha After “Incredible” Anfield

12 Apr

Mohamed Salah has heaped praise on Rio Ngumoha following the 17-year-old’s stunning performance against Fulham FC.

After a historic night at Anfield, Salah made it clear just how highly he rates the young talent.

“He Does Not Play Like A Kid”

Salah admitted the age difference even made him feel it — but quickly turned the focus to Ngumoha’s ability:

“When they told me about the age gap record after the game, it definitely made me feel a little bit old! I’m 33, he is 17… but when you watch him on the ball, he does not play like a kid.”

High praise from one of the game’s best — and a clear sign of the impression Ngumoha has made.

Courage On The Big Stage

Playing at Anfield is never easy — especially at 17.

But Ngumoha rose to the occasion:

“To step out at Anfield under the lights and take your moment like that? It takes incredible courage.”

It’s exactly the kind of mentality Liverpool need right now.

Talent Meets Maturity

Salah highlighted not just Ngumoha’s raw ability, but his mindset:

“He has unbelievable raw talent and pace, but what impresses me the most is his maturity. He listens, he wants to learn from the senior players, and he plays with absolutely no fear.”

That combination of:

Talent Work ethic Fearlessness

👉 Is what turns potential into something special.

Advice From A Leader

Salah also revealed what he told the youngster after the game:

“I told him in the dressing room: ‘Enjoy tonight, soak it all in because you earned it, but tomorrow the real work starts.’”

A reminder that this is just the beginning.

“A Massive Player For The Next Decade”

Perhaps the biggest statement came at the end:

“If he keeps his feet on the ground and stays hungry, Liverpool has a massive, massive player for the next decade.”

That’s not just praise — that’s belief.

A Star In The Making?

For Liverpool FC, this could be the emergence of something special.
