Liverpool Handed Huge Boost Ahead of Aston Villa Clash

14 May

There’s finally some positive news for Liverpool ahead of tomorrow night’s huge league game away to Aston Villa.

Arne Slot has confirmed that Mohamed Salah will be available “for a few minutes” against Villa after returning to fitness.

That alone will lift supporters.

Even if Salah is only ready for a short cameo, having him back involved gives Liverpool a completely different threat in attack — especially with the season entering its final stretch.

A lot of fans have been desperate to see him back on the pitch before the campaign ends.

There was more good news too.

Alisson Becker is back in training, while Ibrahima Konaté has also returned and should be available again.

Considering how many defensive issues Liverpool have had this season, getting experienced players back at the same time is a massive boost.

The only slight concern surrounds Florian Wirtz, who is currently on antibiotics.

But overall, it’s one of the more encouraging injury updates Liverpool have had in quite a while.

Villa Park is never an easy place to go, especially under the lights, but Liverpool suddenly look a lot stronger heading into the match than they did just a few days ago.

And with Salah back involved again, even briefly, supporters will feel there’s finally a bit of hope and excitement returning before a massive game.
