Liverpool supporters hoping to see Bradley Barcola at Anfield this summer may have just been given a reminder of how difficult any potential deal could be.
According to David Ornstein, Paris Saint-Germain value Barcola at more than the £116 million Manchester City recently paid for Elliot Anderson.
If that valuation is accurate, it immediately places the French winger among the most expensive players in world football.
PSG Have No Intention of Selling Cheaply
Barcola has developed into one of PSG’s most important attacking players over the past year.
Still only 23 years old, the France international combines blistering pace, outstanding dribbling ability and the versatility to operate across the front line.
It is therefore no surprise that PSG would demand an enormous fee before even considering a sale.
The French champions are under no financial pressure to sell, meaning any interested club would need to present an exceptional offer.
Liverpool Have Long Admired the Winger
Liverpool have been linked with Barcola throughout the summer.
Following reports that Yan Diomande now favours a move to Paris Saint-Germain, Barcola has once again emerged as a player many supporters would love to see at Anfield.
His profile appears almost tailor-made for Andoni Iraola’s style of football.
Direct.
Explosive.
Fearless in one-versus-one situations.
Exactly the qualities Liverpool have been searching for as they reshape their attack.
More Expensive Than Anderson?

Whether Barcola is ultimately worth more than Anderson is something supporters will inevitably debate.
What is clear, however, is that PSG believe they possess one of Europe’s elite young attackers and are prepared to protect that asset.
Would Liverpool Pay That Much?
That is the question Liverpool’s hierarchy must answer.
The club have consistently shown discipline in the transfer market under Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes.
While Liverpool are willing to invest heavily in players they truly believe in, they have also demonstrated a willingness to walk away when valuations become excessive.
If PSG genuinely expect a fee above £116 million, Liverpool may decide their resources are better spent elsewhere.
A Difficult Deal
None of this means a transfer is impossible.
Football changes quickly.
Player preferences evolve.
Negotiations can shift dramatically over the course of a transfer window.
But Ornstein’s report underlines the scale of the challenge facing any club hoping to prise Barcola away from Paris.
For now, Liverpool supporters can continue to dream.
Whether those dreams become reality may ultimately depend on whether PSG soften their stance—or whether Liverpool decide Barcola is worth breaking the bank for.
