As the fallout surrounding Mohamed Salah and Arne Slot continues to dominate discussion around Liverpool, supporters are now beginning to ask another major question:
Why has Alisson Becker barely been seen despite reportedly being fit for weeks?
The Brazilian goalkeeper’s situation has quietly become another source of confusion and speculation among Liverpool fans during a season already filled with tension and uncertainty.
Recently, Carlo Ancelotti stated publicly that Alisson had been training fully for two weeks and was physically fine ahead of Brazil’s upcoming commitments.
That immediately raised eyebrows among supporters.
Because despite those claims, Liverpool fans have seen very little of Alisson around the first team setup during that same period.
Naturally, that has led some supporters to wonder whether the issues inside Liverpool extend beyond Salah alone.
The dressing room atmosphere has already come under intense scrutiny following Salah’s emotional “heavy metal football” comments and the growing criticism of Slot’s management style.
Now, Alisson’s absence has only added further intrigue.
Of course, there may still be perfectly reasonable explanations.
Liverpool’s medical staff could simply be taking extra precautions with one of the world’s best goalkeepers ahead of a major summer and the World Cup.
Slot may also prefer consistency with his selections during the closing weeks of the season.
But because communication around the situation has felt unclear, speculation has naturally grown.
And supporters are already highly sensitive to anything that hints at dressing room unrest.
This has been one of Liverpool’s most emotionally chaotic seasons in years.
Questions over tactics.
Questions over recruitment.
Questions over leadership.
And now increasingly, questions over player relationships with the manager.
Alisson’s importance to Liverpool cannot be overstated either.
When fit and fully focused, many supporters still view him as arguably the most important player in the squad.
His leadership, composure and world-class performances have repeatedly rescued Liverpool during difficult periods over the years.
That is why fans are so desperate for clarity around his situation.
The growing feeling among sections of the fanbase is that the problems this season are not isolated to one player or one disagreement.
Instead, many fear the club has lost unity, intensity and direction following the end of the Jürgen Klopp era.
Salah’s comments opened the door publicly to those concerns.
Now supporters are beginning to look at other situations inside the squad differently too.
Whether there is genuine tension behind the scenes or not, Liverpool’s hierarchy know one thing for certain:
They cannot afford another season filled with uncertainty, confusion and dressing room questions.
Because if trust inside the squad is beginning to fracture, the summer rebuild becomes even more important than anyone first realised.
