Alisson Becker is currently happy to remain at Liverpool despite growing speculation surrounding his future this summer.
According to reports, the Brazilian goalkeeper had agreed personal terms with Juventus as a potential option if Liverpool decided they were willing to let him leave.
However, as things stand, Alisson is expected to stay at Anfield.
The situation appears to be heavily dependent on Liverpool’s own plans rather than the player actively pushing for an exit.
That will likely reassure many supporters given Alisson’s importance to the football club over recent years.
Even during difficult periods this season, the Brazilian once again proved why many still consider him one of the best goalkeepers in world football.
At the same time, the reports do suggest the situation could still change if Liverpool decide they want to cash in.
And that possibility naturally raises major questions.
Because while Alisson remains elite, Liverpool’s hierarchy are clearly thinking increasingly about the future across multiple positions as the squad enters another rebuild phase.
There has already been growing uncertainty surrounding several senior figures this summer including:
- Mohamed Salah
- Andrew Robertson
- Virgil van Dijk
And now Alisson’s future has also become part of that wider discussion.
Many supporters would strongly oppose allowing him to leave.
Not only because of his performances, but because Liverpool have often looked significantly weaker defensively whenever he has been absent.
His leadership, composure and ability to save Liverpool during chaotic moments remain hugely valuable — especially during a season where the team’s defensive structure has frequently looked unstable.
At the same time, Liverpool may eventually face a difficult financial and sporting decision.
Goalkeepers can remain at the highest level longer than outfield players, but if a major offer arrived and Liverpool believed now was the correct moment to transition toward a younger long-term option, the club could potentially consider it.
That may explain why Alisson’s representatives explored alternative possibilities like Juventus in advance.
For now though, Liverpool supporters can still expect to see Alisson at Anfield next season.
And after months of uncertainty surrounding several iconic players, that will come as a huge relief to many fans.
Because while change may be happening across the squad, losing one of the few consistently world-class performers at the club would feel like an enormous risk during such an unstable period.

want him to stay because he is still one of the best goalkeepers around and we need players like him to stay if we are going to challenge for honours next season
