For Alexis Mac Allister, the dream of lifting the World Cup for a second time ended in heartbreak.
The Liverpool midfielder started for Argentina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, but despite a determined performance, Spain were crowned world champions after a 1–0 victory thanks to Ferran Torres’ extra-time winner.
