For all the noise around performances, the equation for Liverpool is still pretty simple.
Win a game and they’re basically there.
One win guarantees Champions League football next season.
Other scenarios
It could also be confirmed without a win depending on other results.
If AFC Bournemouth lose to Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion don’t win either of their last two, Liverpool are home and dry as well.
Even a draw might be enough
A point at Aston Villa could still be enough if Bournemouth don’t beat City.
So even a draw at Villa Park might end up doing the job.
Still not comfortable
On paper, Liverpool are in control.
But after what fans have seen recently, nobody is relaxed about it.
It’s reached the stage where people just want it mathematically done — no drama, no last-minute stress, no more dropped points.
