Reports saying Bradley Barcola is keen on joining Liverpool will definitely get fans excited.
Because Liverpool badly need more pace and unpredictability in attack.
Too often this season the forward play has looked slow and easy to defend against. Everything feels safe and predictable.
Barcola is the complete opposite of that.
He runs at defenders, takes risks and actually looks capable of creating something out of nothing.
That’s the kind of player Liverpool have been missing badly at times this season.
He also fits the sort of signing Liverpool usually go for — young, quick and still improving.
And with questions over several attacking players this summer, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Liverpool push hard for another forward.
The difficult part is obviously getting a deal done.
If Barcola is available there will be massive interest from other clubs as well.
But if he genuinely wants Liverpool, supporters will be hoping the club move quickly because he feels like exactly the type of player this squad needs right now.
