Liverpool Football Club and the footballing world are mourning the loss of another true legend following the death of Kevin Keegan, who has passed away at the age of 75 after battling stage four stomach cancer. His family confirmed that he died surrounded by his loved ones.
For Liverpool supporters, it is another heartbreaking moment.

A Liverpool Great
Although many younger supporters may remember Kevin Keegan primarily for his time at Newcastle United or as England manager, his legacy at Liverpool is extraordinary.
After joining the Reds in 1971, Keegan became one of the driving forces behind Liverpool’s rise to domestic and European dominance.
During his time at Anfield he helped Liverpool win:

● One European Cup
● Two UEFA Cups
● One FA Cup
● One European Super Cup
His partnership with John Toshack became one of the most feared strike combinations in English football, and his relentless energy, determination and passion quickly made him a hero on the Kop.

Keegan’s move to Hamburg in 1977 only enhanced his reputation.

Earlier this year, Keegan publicly revealed he had been diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer.
Despite the seriousness of his illness, he faced it with the same courage and humour that had characterised his football career.
