Trabzonspor Enter Race for Mohamed Salah as Turkish Giants Attempt Late Hijack

2 Aug

Mohamed Salah’s future has taken another intriguing twist, with reports suggesting Trabzonspor have now entered the race for the former Liverpool star.

According to Turkish journalist @yagosabuncuoglu, Trabzonspor have already met with Salah’s representatives and submitted an official offer worth €17 million over two years.

The report also claims the Turkish club are attempting to hijack a move that had previously appeared to be heading towards Beşiktaş.

Salah Still a Wanted Man

Although Salah’s legendary Liverpool career has come to an end, there is clearly no shortage of clubs eager to secure his signature.

Even at this stage of his career, the Egyptian remains one of the most recognisable and productive forwards in world football.

His goal-scoring record, experience and winning mentality continue to make him an attractive option for ambitious clubs.

A Turkish Tug-of-War?

Until now, Beşiktaş had appeared to be leading the race for Salah.

Now, if these reports are accurate, Trabzonspor are making a serious attempt to change the situation.

An official offer of €17 million across a two-year contract would represent a significant financial commitment and underlines how highly they value the former Liverpool forward.

Whether that will be enough to persuade Salah remains to be seen.

Liverpool Supporters Will Watch With Interest

Where Salah ends up next will inevitably be followed closely by Liverpool supporters.

After everything he achieved at Anfield, many fans simply want to see him continue enjoying football while competing at a high level.

The idea of him playing in Turkey would certainly be an interesting next chapter in an extraordinary career.

One of Liverpool’s Greatest Ever

Whatever decision Salah ultimately makes, his legacy at Liverpool is already secure.

Across his time at Anfield he helped deliver:

● Premier League glory

● Champions League success

● FA Cup triumph

● League Cup victories

● FIFA Club World Cup success

● UEFA Super Cup success

Along the way, he established himself as one of the greatest goalscorers in Liverpool’s history and one of the finest players ever to wear the famous red shirt.

Decision Still to Come

At this stage, there is no indication that Salah has accepted Trabzonspor’s proposal.

The report simply suggests that discussions have taken place and an offer has been made.

With Beşiktaş also believed to remain interested, the situation could still develop over the coming days.

One thing is certain.

Even after leaving Liverpool, Mohamed Salah remains one of the biggest names in world football—and clubs are still prepared to compete fiercely for his signature.
