Liverpool Push to Sign PSG Wonderkid Ibrahim Mbaye as Ambitious Double Raid Takes Shape

5 Aug

Liverpool’s summer transfer plans continue to gather momentum, with fresh reports suggesting the Reds are now pushing to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Ibrahim Mbaye.

According to Fabrice Hawkins, the 18-year-old Senegalese talent is keen on a move to Anfield, having already given Liverpool the green light to pursue a deal.

The report also claims that talks with PSG are expected to begin shortly, with Liverpool hoping to strengthen their options on the right wing.

Perhaps most intriguingly, Liverpool are said to be pursuing both Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye, highlighting the club’s determination to refresh its attacking department.

Another Exciting Young Talent

Ibrahim Mbaye is regarded as one of PSG’s brightest academy graduates and one of the most promising young attackers in French football.

Despite being only 18 years old, he has already attracted attention for his:

● Explosive pace

● Direct dribbling

● Technical quality

● Ability to beat defenders one-on-one

● High ceiling for development

Liverpool have built much of their recruitment strategy around identifying elite young talent before they become global superstars, and Mbaye appears to fit that profile perfectly.

Liverpool Want More Pace

One message has become increasingly clear throughout this transfer window.

Liverpool want to add more speed and unpredictability to their attack.

Following the departure of Mohamed Salah, the club have been linked with several dynamic wide players, including Bradley Barcola.

Now Ibrahim Mbaye has emerged as another serious target.

Adding two naturally quick, direct wingers would significantly change Liverpool’s attacking options under Andoni Iraola.

Why Both Barcola and Mbaye?

At first glance, signing both players may seem surprising.

However, they represent different stages of development.

Bradley Barcola is already an established international with experience at the highest level.

Mbaye, meanwhile, is viewed as a long-term investment with enormous potential.

Liverpool could therefore strengthen both the present and the future of their attack in one transfer window.

The Player Wants Anfield

One of the biggest positives for Liverpool is the suggestion that Mbaye himself wants the move.

In modern football, a player’s willingness to join often becomes one of the most important factors in negotiations.

While PSG are unlikely to let one of their brightest young prospects leave easily, Liverpool know they have an important advantage if the player is fully committed to joining the Reds.

Negotiations With PSG

The next challenge will be convincing Paris Saint-Germain.

The French champions have invested heavily in youth development and are understandably reluctant to lose players they believe could become future stars.

That means Liverpool may need to present both a convincing sporting project and an attractive financial package before any agreement can be reached.

Talks are reportedly expected to begin shortly.

A Statement of Intent

If Liverpool were somehow able to secure both Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye this summer, it would represent one of the most ambitious attacking rebuilds in recent memory.

It would also demonstrate that Liverpool are not simply replacing departing players.

They are building an entirely new generation of attacking talent.

For supporters, that is an exciting prospect.

The transfer window still has plenty of twists ahead, but one thing is becoming increasingly clear.

Liverpool are determined to reshape their attack—and Ibrahim Mbaye has now emerged as one of the club’s most exciting targets.
