Why Arsenal Have No Chance Of Getting Rodgers
Arsenal are looking to the future at replacing their long-standing manager Arsene Wenger, the London club have offered the Frenchman a new two year contract but reports suggest that Arsenal are just starting the process of replacing Wenger as they look for a future replacement.
The Daily Telegraph suggests that Liverpool’s Brendan Rodgers is being considered as their future manager.
The news of Arsenal’s interest will worry Liverpool supporters who have been impressed by Brendan Rodgers progress since he took over as manager at Anfield.
Although the Reds have made remarkable strides of progress under Rodgers, they are still a team with a lot of improving to do as the Irishman believes they have a lot of work to do become the best.
Liverpool are playing some of the best football seen at Anfield for many years and are scoring goals for fun and Rodgers is instrumental in this exciting brand of football which more importantly has brought positive results which has the Reds as serious title contenders for the first time in years.
The goal at the start of the season was to finish in the top four and qualify for next season’s Champions League, but with that target almost assured, Rodgers’ men are in a great position to win the club’s first title in 24 years.
It is too early to speculate that Rodgers could be building a new ‘dynasty’ similar to Shankly, but with the young side that he is building along with a conveyor belt of talented youngsters coming through the young manager has a vision for the future of the club, not just for the short term.
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard commented recently that Rodgers should be tied down by the club to a new long-term contract and the news of Arsenal’s interest should prompt the owners into doing so.
Don’t panic we have no interest in Rodgers you won’t win the league this season and next year you’ll do even worse when you have to play more games in europe, enjoy it while it lasts.
gunners dont want Rodgers, he used his brain and got Liverpool out of the cups to focus on the league knowing he hasn’t got a big enough squad. Plus he has no respect to past football teams, claims he thought of all this counter attacking football himself. Also stating UTD will find it hard to get the top names , please Brenda , this is UTD who every team and fan in the world know will always be more of a attractive place. Liverpool have bigger problems ahead, Anfield is awesome atmosphere wise but you cant be playing against the best of Europe in that run down stadium. Your owner doesn’t want to build , so once again anfield will be your downfall as you cant increase on sponsorships and matchday revenue. At arsenal Rodgers would get a lot more money, no worries about paying a stadium off. Liverppol copied Arsene’s blue print on investing youth, wenger took it further by selling them to help pay the stadium off, Rodgers aint in wengers class, wenger has a degree in economics took his time to learn English coming to England one summer. rodgers gets his teeth whitened in a summer
Arsenal are not interested in Rodgers. 95% of our supporters are behind Wenger, when he retires there are plenty of Managers far superior to Rodgers in terms of success and experience. Rodgers is having a great season, but his success will be judge over a longer period. Look at Chelsea managers have won the European Champions league and the Europa League and have still been sacked.
