Slot Confirms Triple Liverpool Injury Update Before Chelsea Clash

8 May

Arne Slot has given an update on Liverpool’s squad ahead of tomorrow’s game against Chelsea FC — and there’s a bit more positive news than expected.

Ibrahima Konaté and Florian Wirtz are both fit and available despite recent concerns, which is a big boost.

Especially Konaté, after he missed training earlier this week and had supporters worried.

There was also encouraging news on Alexander Isak, with Slot confirming he’s returned to parts of team training ahead of the Chelsea game.

It doesn’t sound like he’s fully ready yet, but it’s definitely progress after being out injured.

Alisson Becker and Mohamed Salah are still unavailable though, which remains a massive blow.

Liverpool have badly missed both of them recently.

There was also an update on Giorgi Mamardashvili, with Slot saying the goalkeeper could train today.

So that’s another situation worth keeping an eye on before kick-off.

The main thing for Liverpool fans will just be hoping the team actually delivers a performance now.

Because regardless of injuries, the standards over the last few weeks simply haven’t been good enough.
