Arne Slot References PSG Again While Discussing Liverpool Standards

9 May

Arne Slot has mentioned Paris Saint-Germain FC again while talking about standards and younger players setting examples in teams.

He pointed to Désiré Doué and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as examples of younger players driving standards at PSG.

But honestly, I think a lot of Liverpool FC fans are getting fed up hearing about PSG now.

Because supporters don’t want comparisons or excuses at this stage.

They just want Liverpool to start looking like a proper top side again.

Nobody doubts young players can set standards.

The problem is PSG currently look miles ahead of Liverpool in almost every area.

Energy, intensity, organisation, attacking football — they look like a modern elite team under Luis Enrique.

Liverpool haven’t looked like that often enough this season.

That’s why these comments annoy people.

Every time Slot mentions PSG, fans naturally compare the two teams and right now it doesn’t reflect well on Liverpool at all.

Honestly, I’d love Enrique at Anfield.

The way his PSG side plays is exactly what Liverpool supporters want to see again — fast football, aggression and players looking hungry every week.

You hear this as Slot is more interested in other teams than his own,Liverpool. There is definitely a feeling that all is not very well in the dressing room and beyond. There are more and more players now looking and talking about leaving – why?

It is my opinion that they are not happy with Slots’ training, team selection and tactics. It shows in a quickness for an injury claim to keep them off the pitch. Alison decided months ago that enough was enough and started looking for a new move. Cleverly keeping off the team by the ‘injury method’. This has become standard procedure.

Further more the new buys that were sensations at their old clubs have not been used. In normal teams they arrive and are put out to play but Slot limits their use claiming lack of fitness etc.

The team is broken by poor management in constricted training methods.
