According to reports from Pavan Massimo, Liverpool are planning a major shake-up in the goalkeeping department this summer.
And the biggest part of it could see Alisson Becker leave the club for Juventus.
If Alisson does go, it would be the end of an era at Liverpool.
For many supporters, he’s been one of the club’s most important signings of the modern era and arguably the best goalkeeper in the world at his peak.
Even during difficult periods, Alisson has saved Liverpool countless times.
The report claims Lucas Chevalier is one name Liverpool are looking at as a possible replacement.
The young French goalkeeper is highly rated and fits the sort of long-term profile Liverpool usually target.
Emiliano Martínez is also reportedly being monitored after another strong season with Aston Villa.
Martinez would obviously bring experience and personality, but he would split opinion among Liverpool fans.
Chevalier feels more like the long-term rebuild option, while Martinez would be more of an instant replacement.
Either way, it’s another sign that this summer could bring massive changes at Liverpool.
And if Alisson leaves alongside some of the other senior players expected to go, the squad could look very different by the start of next season.
