Dominik Szoboszlai’s importance to Liverpool appears to be growing, and now his father believes the Hungarian international could be about to take on an even bigger responsibility.
Speaking to Nemzeti Sport, Szoboszlai’s father suggested that Liverpool see his son as one of the leaders of Andoni Iraola’s new-look side.
He said:
“My first impression of Dominik is that he could be given a kind of leadership role on the pitch and they expect him to organize the game. Fortunately, he was given the captain’s armband in the first two matches, and he was very happy about that.”
For Liverpool supporters, those comments will come as little surprise.

Since arriving at Anfield, Szoboszlai has steadily developed into one of Liverpool’s most influential midfielders.
