Injury Worries Grow as Liverpool Stars Miss Training

6 May

This isn’t what you want to see before a game like Chelsea.

Mohamed Salah, Ibrahima Konaté, Alexander Isak, Alisson Becker and Giorgi Mamardashvili were all missing from Liverpool FC training today.

That’s not one or two players… that’s half your spine.

Straight away you’re thinking — what’s going on here?

A few of them have already been dealing with injuries recently, so it’s not completely out of the blue seeing names like Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak and Alisson Becker missing again.

But Ibrahima Konaté is the one that stands out — that feels like a new concern.

Salah not training is the obvious worry. We already know how much we rely on him, and without him the attack just doesn’t look the same.

Then you’ve got Isak as well — that’s basically your forward options hit in one go.

Konaté missing isn’t great at all.

He’s probably been our most reliable defender, so if this is something new, it just adds another problem at the back — especially against a team like Chelsea FC who will definitely look to exploit that.

The goalkeeper situation is a strange one too.

Both Alisson Becker and Giorgi Mamardashvili not being there raises a few questions. Might be nothing, might just be precaution, but it’s not exactly reassuring.

For me, it just adds to that feeling going into the game where you’re not quite sure what you’re going to get.

We’ve already been inconsistent, and now you’re potentially going into a big match without some of your most important players.

Hopefully it’s nothing serious and a few of them are back.

But right now, it’s definitely not ideal.
